We thought we would start this new segment of our site focusing on our own neighborhood-Greenwich Village. You know, give a little back to those that share in our wonderful community of patrons.
Listed below are some of our favorites for lunch, dinner or a drink or two. Hope those of you, either visiting New York for the first time, or just new to the Greenwich Village area, find our suggestions worth your while.
Pearl Oyster Bar
18 Cornelia Street
This month, and most months, our staff favorite for lunch is Pearl Oyster Bar. A long-time favorite of many Villagers, it is worth the wait. Try the world famous lobster roll, or a few oysters on the half shell.
The Grey Dog’s Coffee
33 Carmine Street
A neighbor hood eatery with a neighborhood feel. New York is known for its neighborhoods and Grey Dog’s is a great example of the downtown low key vibe. Try a cup of their award-winning coffee and sit back for a filling portion of home style food. Grey Dog’s Coffee is our pick for a lazy morning brunch, or a satisfying lunch.
85 Washington Place
A bar. There is really nothing more than we can say, except that it’s a block away!
